Welcome to Mythology !

Course Overview

Mythology is a semester-long elective English class designed to provide students with an understanding of myth as a way of thinking and an opportunity to investigate the relationship between myth and culture, society, and literature.

Students will become familiar with selections from the myth traditions of Greece, Scandinavia, India, China, Africa, and Native America. In addition to developing students' familiarity with particular stories, this course is designed to enhance and supplement the research skills and independent critical and analytical literacy skills that students work to develop throughout their English studies at SGHS.
